Board Actions

The board of education on Feb. 13:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work; view the presentation;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s community relations program evaluation; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $3,431,046.01 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for January 2024;
  • Approved paying $230,578.93, for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $2,305.79);
  • Approved the Pre-K tuition rates for the 2024-2025 school year;
  • Approved the employment of certified staff for the 2024-2025 school year;
  • Lodged for action the student and staffing projections for the 2024-2025 school year; a vote is expected at the March 12 meeting;
  • Approved paying $7,459 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt for legal services;
  • Lodged for action the revisions to policy IGDF (Student Fundraising) and the rescission of policies EHD-R-2 (Student Electronic Communication Policy), IGDF-R (Student Fund-Raising Activities) and IGDF-R-E (Student Fund-Raising Activities); a vote is expected during the March 12 board meeting;
  • Adopted a proclamation declaring March, 2024, as Music in Our Schools Month in the Pattonville School District; read the proclamation;
  • Adopted a proclamation declaring March, 2024, as Youth Arts Month in the Pattonville School District; read the proclamation;
  • Awarded the quote for Roof Consulting Services to RMT Roofing and Waterproofing Consultants for the evaluation and comprehensive 10-year management plan for roofing and waterproofing maintenance;
  • Approved the contract for Franklin Covey Leader in Me program for $84,397.60;
  • Awarded the bid for exterior lighting improvements at Pattonville High School to Reinhold Electric for $34,524.96;
  • Approved the agreement with Tyler Technologies for the upgrade and recurring charge for Traversa Migration and Tyler Drive Tablet Pilot for $55,366; and
  • Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Contract Amendment with S.M. Wilson & Co.

  • Jeff Grass, PE and health teacher at Holman, after serving Pattonville for 29 years
  • Teresa Gunter, counselor at Rose Acres, after serving Pattonville for 23 years
  • Larry Knobel, vocal music teacher at Holman, after serving Pattonville for 32 years
  • Laura Lancaster, counselor at Pattonville Heights, after serving Pattonville for 27 years
  • Dennis McFarland, instructional music teacher at the high school, after serving Pattonville for 28 years
  • Kathleen Phillips, bus driver in transportation, after serving Pattonville for five years
