Immunizations for Next Year's 8th Graders
Immunizations for Next Year's 8th Graders
Friday, January 12, 2018
Dear Parents of Seventh Grade Students,

I hope everyone had a happy and healthy winter break. With the New Year I begin thinking ahead to the next school year regarding immunizations. Missouri state law requires all students entering eighth grade to have received a Tdap and Meningitis vaccine before the first day of school. Students who have not provided proof of these immunizations will not be able to enter school. Many times a student did receive the immunizations but a copy was not provided to my office. I ask at this time to check with your student’s physician to see if these immunizations were indeed given and if so a copy emailed, faxed, or hand delivered to me so that I may update their record. If your child has not received one or both of these immunizations please make sure they receive them before school starts in August. These immunizations are also provided for a nominal fee at pharmacies like Walgreens, CVS, Walmart , and some Target stores, as well as an Urgent Care Facility,  walk in clinics and the Health department.

Taking the steps now to ensure your students health records are up to date will make for a smooth transition to eighth grade and ensure schedule and laptop pick up in August hassle free.

Thank you,

Debbie Richter RN

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences are October 11 & 12, 2017
Thursday, October 5, 2017
The upcoming fall parent/teacher conferences at Pattonville Heights Middle School will be "arena style" conferences. All conferences will be held in the PHMS gym. There is no "scheduling" of a conference time. You will report to Heights on whichever day and whatever time works for your schedule.  Teachers will be located around the gym at tables. There will be two chairs at the table for you to meet with the teacher. Each conference session will be a 5 minute time limit. Conference sessions are expected to be brief snapshots of your student's progress so that is why we are asking that you please limit conference time to 5 minutes. If you need a more private conference with extended time, please arrange that on a date other than parent-teacher conference days.

Student dismissal on Parent/Teacher Conference days will be at 11:10 AM on both days.

Students cannot stay after school on these days to wait for conferences to begin.

*** Fundraising items will be available for pick-up in the library
LIMAC room during conference hours ***
